Dr. Kathleen Olsen, DVM

Medical Director/Radiation Safety Officer

Dr. Olsen is a highly experienced veterinarian with a career spanning clinical practice, education, and research. A native of upstate New York, she earned both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Cornell University. During her academic career, she taught courses in comprehensive anatomy as well as inorganic and organic chemistry, while also developing research techniques focused on investigating canine growth disorders.

Following completion of an internship in small animal medicine, Dr. Olsen spent a decade in Seattle working in private practice. She returned to the East Coast in 2000, where she dedicated 20 years to practicing emergency and critical care medicine in a referral setting.

In 2019, Dr. Olsen joined our team as an Associate Veterinarian and quickly assumed the role of Medical Director. Her depth of knowledge, leadership, and commitment to high-quality patient care make her an invaluable part of our practice.

Kathleen Williams

Hospital Manager

Kathleen has been a dedicated member of our veterinary team since 1998. Over the years, she has worn many hats within the practice, gaining hands-on experience in every role before stepping into her current position as Hospital Manager. Kathleen’s deep understanding of both patient care and hospital operations allows her to support our team and clients with insight, compassion, and efficiency.

At home, Kathleen enjoys life with her husband, their adult son, and their beloved rescued pets: Coop, an African Grey parrot, and Buster, a spirited beagle. Her love for animals extends far beyond the hospital walls, making her an integral part of both our team and the pet-loving community we serve.

Radiocat Co-Founders

Radiocat was founded over 30 years ago by two veterinarians, Dr. David S. Herring and Dr. Rand S. Wachasstock. Together, their hospitals have successfully treated over 90,000 cats for hyperthyroidism.

Lisa
– Radioactive Materials Compliance Manager

Lisa joined our team in 2000 as a Patient Care Liaison, where she quickly became known for her compassion and dedication to both patients and their families. In 2019, she transitioned into the role of Radioactive Materials Compliance Manager, where she plays a vital part in ensuring all our locations meet and maintain strict state regulatory standards. In addition to overseeing compliance, she provides training and guidance to our veterinary technicians and assistants on radiation safety, helping to maintain a safe, knowledgeable clinical environment.

Outside of work, she is a passionate turtle enthusiast and proud mom to a delightful menagerie of furry companions. When she’s not caring for pets, she enjoys her creativity through sketching, painting, and weaving words into stories.

Christin
– Senior Patient Care Liaison

With 27 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Christin joined our team in 2008 and has been a valued member ever since. She brings a deep passion for animal care and client support, with a diverse background spanning critical care, oncology, emergency medicine, and internal medicine. These experiences have shaped her commitment to delivering compassionate, knowledgeable service to both patients and their families.

Throughout her career, she has shared her life with many beloved furry companions, further strengthening her connection to the work she does each day. She is currently focused on enhancing client education and fostering a supportive environment for families navigating complex medical care for their pets, ensuring they feel informed, confident, and cared for every step of the way.

At home, she is the proud parent of Hannibal, a lovable English Mastiff, two adorable cats, and two amazing adult children.

Christina
– Patient Care Liaison

Christina joined our team in 2015 and has been a valued member ever since. With a genuine love for animals and a caring approach, she is dedicated to supporting both patients and their families throughout their care.

At home, she shares her life with three lovable kitties and any foster pets who may need a safe, nurturing place to land. Outside of work, she is an active volunteer with a local animal rescue, continuing her commitment to helping animals in need. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and spending time outdoors, hiking, and biking.

Emily
– Patient Care Liaison

Emily joined our team in 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience in veterinary medicine since 2007. Her background includes helping her family’s feline rescue at a young age, which specialized in feral kitties, then continuing her veterinary passion in emergency care and ophthalmology, where she developed a strong foundation in both patient and clinical experience.

At home, she is a busy and proud mom of four children, along with three kitties, a French Bulldog named Shimano, and six chickens. When she finds a free moment of downtime, she enjoys fishing, diving, and exploring the natural beauty of Florida’s Nature Coast.

Melissa
– Veterinary Assistant/Patient Care Liaison

Having grown up in the veterinary field, Melissa developed a lifelong passion for animal care early on. She joined our team in 2015 as a Veterinary Assistant and, in 2019, expanded her role to serve as both a Veterinary Assistant and Patient Care Liaison. She enjoys being part of a team dedicated to improving the lives of cats through I-131 therapy and takes pride in supporting clients and their pets every step of the way.

At home, she shares her life with her husband, two amazing children, a dog, and two cats – both of whom have personally benefited from I-131 therapy, giving her a meaningful, personal connection to the care she helps provide.

Angela
– Veterinary Assistant/Patient Care Liaison

A devoted veterinary professional since 2010, Angela brings a strong foundation in emergency medicine along with years of hands-on experience.

She joined our team in 2020 as a Veterinary Assistant and, shortly thereafter, stepped into a dual role as both a Veterinary Assistant and a Patient Care Liaison. She is passionate about providing not only skilled medical care but also comfort, respect, and compassion – treating every patient as if they were her own.

Outside of work, she and her wife run a sanctuary for rescued animals, many of whom come from difficult and sometimes heartbreaking situations. This deep personal commitment to animal welfare reflects the same heart and dedication she brings to her work every day.

Kayris
– Veterinary Assistant/Patient Care Liaison

With a career in veterinary medicine dating back to 1997, Kayris brings decades of experience and dedication to her role. She joined our team in 2019 and continues to provide compassionate care to both patients and their families.

A true cat enthusiast at heart, she proudly shares her home with four beloved cats. She is also the proud parent of two amazing adult children and grandmother to an adorable grandson. When she’s not at work, she enjoys reading, hiking, yoga, gardening, and spending quality time with her family.

Kimberly
– Administrative Assistant

Kimberly joined our team in 2022, bringing over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine. With a strong background in emergency and critical care, she is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality support to both patients and their families. She began her time with us as a Patient Care Liaison and has since transitioned into the role of Administrative Assistant, where she continues to play an important part in supporting our team and clients.

She has a deep love for animals, with a special place in her heart for large breed dogs. In her free time, she enjoys expressing her creativity through art and spending time in nature.
